Our Dance Teachers
Hailing from Edmundston, NB, Tammy Golla began her dance career in high school, forming the student company “Emotions en Motion” in 1986. The company is still going strong, being handed down from year to year, from student to student. In 1994, Tammy became artistic director of the “Main Street Dance Studio” and has since built a student base of over 350 students, making “Main Street” the largest, most successful dance school from Québec city to Fredericton. By taking master classes and working with guest teachers on a regular basis, Tammy stays on the cutting edge of jazz, hip-hop and lyrical dance. Her students are the proof, winning over and over again, at competition after competition. Tammy’s classes are always high energy and fun, with an emphasis on technique and artistic expression. Students are sure to come away feeling renewed and challenged.

An original member of the Main Street Dancers, Nathalie Cyr-Plourde has been with us since the beginning, first as a dancer, and now as a teacher. This year, she is in charge of the teen class and the Adult jazz class. Her award winning choregoraphy is always tight, funky, and intricately staged. During the day, Nathalie teaches grade 3 at the Carrefour de la Jeunesse in Edmunston, where she is a favorite amongst her students and parents alike.
